PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Najarian Associates recently provided a full suite of services for a large residential land development subdivision with greater than 300 multifamily and single-family lots in New Jersey. Our scope of work included site engineering and design, landscape engineering and surveying services. This project included an open space component and associated community amenities such as a clubhouse, pool, bocce and tennis courts, open space and two connections to adjacent public transportation.
The project site and adjacent area contained environmental resources regulated by the NJDEP, Division of Land Resource Protection (LRP) including streams, wetlands and potential habitat for threatened or endangered species. As such, the project required permit approval for regulated freshwater wetlands and flood hazard areas (FHA). Multiple conservation easements were required for wetland transition areas and state open water buffers.
As with all land development projects, significant challenges are often presented with regards to storm water management. This project included a multitude of small- and large-scale storm water basins that had to be designed in accordance with the NJDEP strict green infrastructure requirements.
Najarian Associates brought collaboration and multidisciplinary experience to the table and successfully obtained all the necessary approvals within an expedited timeframe.
