Developers are touting the response to a new luxury rental complex in downtown Englewood, where they have leased more than a third of its 185 units in just about six weeks.
BNE Real Estate Group and Sterling Properties on Monday announced the milestone at One William, located at 1 William St. Having leased just over 40 percent of the apartments, they hailed the activity as a sign of downtown Englewood’s appeal and continued demand for new upscale rentals.
The joint venture launched leasing at One William in late May.
“We were confident there was a market here for new, stylish residences in a location that’s just steps from dining, shopping, cultural and recreational offerings, as well as convenient access to New York City,” said Jonathan Schwartz, a partner at BNE Real Estate Group. “The public’s response to One William and its spirited leasing activity is bearing that out.”
Located just off West Palisade Avenue, apartments at One William have high-end finishes and appliances, the developers said. Renters have access to amenities such as a rooftop pool terrace with lounge seating, a fire pit, private barbecue stations with dining areas and an outdoor bar with TV.
Other features include a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a WiFi lounge with work stations and conference rooms and a club room. The firm also highlighted a separate lobby level lounge with a coffee bar, billiards, seating areas and a bar.
Rents at the five-story building start at $2,350. The Marketing Directors is One William’s exclusive marketing and leasing agent.
“One William is an exciting new residential option that complements all that this vibrant downtown setting has to offer,” said Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. “It’s an energy-infused lifestyle experience that is quickly appealing to a wide range of residents.”
The team also touted the building’s proximity to mass transit, including NJ Transit bus service three blocks away, and access to routes 4, 80 and 9W, the New Jersey Turnpike, the Palisades Parkway and the George Washington Bridge.
