NAI James E. Hanson has hired a longtime sales professional as the latest member of its commercial real estate brokerage team, the Hackensack-based firm announced.
John C. Sawyer joins the firm’s headquarters office as a sales associate, bringing more than 20 years of sales experience to the position. He will work with NAI Hanson’s Russell Verducci and Eric Demmers, with a focus on sales and leasing of industrial properties in northern New Jersey.
Prior to joining NAI Hanson, Sawyer was a sales associate with The Blau & Berg Co. in Short Hills, according to a news release. Previously, he was a territory manager for Angiodynamics and Boston Scientific, where he managed sales of medical devices and equipment throughout northern New Jersey, southern New York and southern Connecticut.
Sawyer has also managed sales portfolios for Verge Marketing, Kobrand Corp. and Gallo Winery of New Jersey.
“John’s considerable experience and success in sales-oriented positions across a wide range of industries, including commercial real estate, gives him the strong background that is necessary to be a valuable contributor to our team from day one,” Verducci said. “Collaboration is a key part of our team’s success and allows us to deliver superior service to each client we are hired to represent.
“We look forward to working along with John to negotiate the best deals on behalf of our clients and continue NAI Hanson’s proud tradition of excellence.”
Sawyer holds a degree in sports marketing from the University of Massachusetts, the news release said. He resides in Jersey City.
