After acquiring a 120,350-square-foot shopping center in Toms River, a joint venture has tapped Levin Management Corp. to oversee leasing at the property.
The property, known as Commons at Hooper, sits at 1350 Hooper Ave. and is anchored by Michaels and DSW. As the leasing and managing agent, LMC said it will focus on creating new value at the complex by revitalizing the buildings and common areas.
“Our plan involves updating this property and generally making it a more attractive shopping environment,” said Robert Carson, executive vice president with the North Plainfield-based firm. “Commons at Hooper already is home to strong tenants, and our leasing efforts will build upon that by rounding out the mix with additional diversified, high-quality retailers and services.”
Commons at Hooper is home to other retail, restaurant and service tenants including Dollar Tree, Mattress Firm, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Dress Barn and Jersey Mike’s, among others. LMC said the Ocean County center has a daily traffic count of more than 41,000 vehicles and serves a growing residential population of more than 161,000 people within a five-mile radius.
Leasing Representative Jordan Korris is heading the leasing effort for LMC.
In late September, brokers with HFF announced that a joint venture of Unison Realty Partners and ALTO Real Estate Funds had acquired the shopping center. The complex was 86 percent leased at the time.
