A shuttered brewery in Camden County is slated to reopen after changing hands in a sale arranged by Vantage Commercial, the real estate services firm announced last week.
Located in the Atco section of Waterford Township, the distinctive Brotherton Brewery occupies a fully renovated historic firehouse at 2208 Atco Ave. but closed last spring after a five-year run at the property, according to the Courier-Post. Its new owner hopes to restore the beloved establishment under its original name and resurrect the brewery’s signature recipes, Vantage Commercial said, following a sale that included both the transfer of the brewery license and the on-site equipment.
Vantage Commercial Vice President and Partner Ken Richardson and Managing Director Emily Stein represented both parties in the deal. Terms were not disclosed.
“We were contracted to sell the building only, and we successfully executed a full asset sale for the owners,” Richardson said. “Both parties feel confident in re-establishing Brotherton Brewery.”
The firm said the transaction, which originated in 2025, presented unique challenges beyond a traditional real estate sale due to the complexities of transferring the brewery license and negotiating the terms of a full equipment purchase.
