Newmark Associates has expanded its team with the addition of a veteran sales and marketing executive.
In a news release, the Cedar Knolls-based firm said Mary Therese O’Brian joins its ranks as a sales associate, bringing more than 20 years of experience. Her background includes working as a former director of sales with ALM Media, LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters, where she created content marketing strategies for legal and other professional service organizations, utilizing emerging technology to generate leads, acquire customers and build their brands.
As head of real estate for NJ Advance Media, O’Brian worked with brokers, developers and property owners to create multimedia marketing campaigns promoting residential and commercial properties to their most relevant audience, the news release said.
“From her early years with Thomson Reuters, Therese has earned a reputation as a client-first, results driven, innovative leader who inspires enthusiasm, respect and appreciation from her clients,” Newmark said in the news release. “Her success is based on her proven ability to orchestrate and manage several processes at one time, in the end harmonizing the goals of all parties.”
O’Brian offers marketing strategies for Commercial Real Estate Women’s New York and New Jersey chapters, serving as co-chair of the public relations and member recognition committees. She studied marketing at the University of Notre Dame, earned a bachelor’s in marketing from Thomas Edison State College and a mini-MBA in digital marketing from Rutgers Business School.
