Newmark Associates had two reasons to celebrate late last month, when it marked its 30th anniversary while honoring team members during an annual awards luncheon.
Executives and employees of the Cedar Knolls-based firm gathered April 19 at H2Ocean Restaurant in Hanover to highlight outstanding, personal and professional achievements. The awards included honors for the top retail, office and industrial sales and lease transactions, along with recognition of the firm’s top producers.
“Acknowledgement is a characteristic of our work culture, and is the word for today’s celebration,” said Nancy Glick, chief operating officer with Newmark Associates.
The top transaction awards included:
- Retail: Doug Greenberger and Charles Ritschel ranked first in sales and lease deals, respectively.
- Office: Linda Cho, Helene Elbaum and David Bieber partnered on a transaction for top sales, while Debbie Meyers earned the award for the top office lease.
- Industrial: Allan Settlow and Bill Cunningham earned awards for top sales and lease transactions, respectively.
For the overall top producers, Nancy Stanton-Tuckman came in first place with a net aggregate of $47 million in transactions, according to a news release. Helene Elbaum and Debbie Myers tied for second place, with each tallying a net aggregate of more than $15 million.
The firm also presented its “People’s Choice Awards” for employees who displayed characteristics such as integrity, accountability, professionalism, respectfulness, excellence in communication and masterful leadership, the news release said. Meantime, Newmark presented its Rising Star Award to Linda Cho and Jay Zeitchik, who have joined the Newmark team in the last year.
At the start of the event, founder Susanne Newmark acknowledged the firm’s team leaders: Marcello Adinolfi, David Bieber, Judy Feldman and Debbie Myers.
“The way you do one thing is the way you do everything, creating a standard of excellence that is to be admired,” said Newmark, CEO and president.
