A nonprofit that supports minority entrepreneurs has leased nearly 2,000 square feet of office space in downtown Newark, in a newly announced deal by The Blau & Berg Co.
According to the brokerage team, the suite at 60 Park Place will be the fifth brick-and-mortar location for The Enterprise Center, which provides consulting services, business management education and funding. The new office is slated to open July 24, serving as a physical hub for business advisory services to reach local entrepreneurs.
Blau & Berg Director of Business Development Christian Benedetto brokered the 1,900-square-foot lease in Newark’s Military Park neighborhood. The firm noted that The Enterprise Center, which was founded in 1988, operates under the U.S. Commerce Department’s Minority Business Development Agency Business Centers in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“We are excited to expand our reach into entirely new communities in and around Newark,” said Victoria Hosendorf, executive vice president of the Enterprise Center of New Jersey. “This new brick-and-mortar facility will allow The Enterprise Center to put physical boots on the ground and connect directly with minority business owners where they are. We look forward to our grand opening later this summer.”
