A new Norman’s Hallmark is coming to Atlantic County after signing a lease for more than 6,000 square feet in the city of Somers Point.
The operator, the nation’s largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores, will take space at Ocean Heights Plaza for what it described as a super store location with an expansive selection of card and gift items in a modern and inviting shopping environment. It’s tentatively slated to open this spring at 319 Bethel Road, taking over the former space of a Pier 1 Imports store at the ShopRite-anchored property.
“Every Norman’s Hallmark store is an engaging, one-stop destination where shoppers can find the perfect cards and gifts for any milestone or occasion,” said Howard Henschel, Norman’s CEO and president. “We are excited to be opening one of our larger, full-format stores in Somers Point, and look forward to bringing customers the quality brands and great service for which Norman’s Hallmark is known.”
The store will mark the company’s continued expansion in southern New Jersey, following recent openings at Mullica Hill Plaza in Mullica Hill, Pilesgrove Town Center in Woodstown, The Court at Deptford in Deptford and Cross Keys Commons in Turnersville. The chain offers a complete line of Hallmark products, cards for every occasion and Keepsake Ornaments, along with a diverse merchandise selection for gift giving and the home that includes fashion apparel and accessories, books, stationery, games, home décor, specialty candy and gourmet foods.
Norman’s Hallmark currently operates 70 locations, with roots going back more than 80 years to its original store in Trenton. Now based in Newtown, Pennsylvania, it continues to grow its brick-and-mortar footprint throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and recently expanded to Delaware and northern Maryland, while it also maintains a strong e-commerce presence.
