A condominium building under construction in North Bergen is on track to open early next year after marking the completion of vertical construction.
The builder behind the project, Skyline Development Group, announced Tuesday that the complex at 8701 Churchill Road has topped out at 14 stories. The firm is eyeing a first-quarter delivery for the 70-unit building known as Solaia.
Skyline and its partners, Vasco Ventures and Mosaic Real Estate, also plan to launch preconstruction sales for the collection of one- to three-bedroom homes in early fall.
“Solaia will be unlike any other condominium on the Gold Coast market today,” said Lou Mont, Skyline’s founder and CEO. “The project has been conceptualized to create a new level of indulgence with an emphasis on a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. The building design fully maximizes its natural surroundings and unique location with dramatic Hudson River and New York City skyline views from every home. The spa-like amenity package is one-of-a-kind and a welcome retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of city living.
“We’re delighted to now be one step closer to realizing this vision for this iconic development.”
Sitting on an elevated location, Solaia will feature homes ranging from 864 square feet to more than 1,900 square feet, with initial pricing expected to begin from the mid-$700,000s to $2 million, according to a news release. Units will feature upscale interior design, finishes and appliances, while homes will feature private balconies.
Plans for the Architectura-designed building also call for 10,000 square feet of amenity space offering a three-story wellness center with a complete fitness facility and full-service spa. Recreation and social amenities will include a cliff-side roof deck with grills, a fireplace and dining area, co-working spaces, billiards and a catering kitchen.
In announcing the construction milestone, Skyline touted the site’s proximity to the dining, shopping and recreational offerings of Edgewater, Weehawken, North Bergen and Hoboken. The property is also minutes from the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel and NY Waterway Port Imperial Ferry Terminal.
