Onyx Equities has opened the doors to a collection of 60 upscale apartments adjacent to the Ridgewood train station, the developer announced Thursday.
Known as The Benjamin, the property at Franklin Avenue and Chestnut Street houses a mix of one- and two-bedroom units and upscale amenities such as a resident lounge and screening room, a Matrix fitness center and a rooftop terrace, among others. Onyx is now offering apartments for immediate occupancy, working alongside The Marketing Directors to lure prospective renters.
“Ridgewood residents have been looking for a housing option that offers them the elegance and charm of living here, but without the fuss of home ownership for some time,” said John Saraceno Jr., co-founder and managing principal of Onyx Equities. “We created The Benjamin with contemporary finishes and attention to aesthetic detail, and with materials and systems to ensure comfort and ease of living.”
Onyx detailed the project on Thursday, touting its luxury apartment design with smart home technology and upscale finishes. The firm also highlighted offerings such as a coffee bar, private resident storage and on-site private parking, along with a bike room, Amazon package lockers and a pet spa.
The Benjamin is steps from the village’s commuter rail station and a host of retail and restaurant options in the downtown. Also nearby are Van Neste Park and Veterans Field, while the property at 1 Franklin Ave. is minutes from Route 17 and other highways.
