An undisclosed e-commerce business has acquired a nearly 38,000-square-foot office building in Edison, in a newly announced deal by Zimmel Associates.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said the new owner will occupy 5,000 square feet and lease the remaining space at 2015 Lincoln Highway. Zimmel Associates President David Zimmel represented the buyer, while Dan DePalma of North American Realty represented the seller, a now-former occupier that no longer needed space at the three-story, 37,635-square-foot property.
Terms were not disclosed.
“A client was looking to acquire an office building for an e-commerce business, one to both occupy and lease the remaining space,” Zimmel said. “This building became available and fit their needs perfectly.”
The new owner has tapped Zimmel as its leasing agent, the brokerage firm said, noting that the building has an atrium, a courtyard, ample parking and one passenger elevator. The site, which spans 4.32 acres, also provides quick access to both the Edison and Metuchen train stations and major highways, including Interstate 287, the New Jersey Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway and Route 1.
Additionally, it sits across the street from two buildings that Zimmel has sold recently, 2025 and 2045 Lincoln Highway, both of which are fully leased.
