Siemens Corp. has leased more than 43,000 square feet of office space in Parsippany, according to brokers with Newmark, in a deal with Silverman Realty Group Inc.
The deal at 2 Gatehall Plaza, which sits at the intersection of routes 10 and 202, follows a series of recent upgrades at the four-story, 389,298-square-foot property. Siemens is taking 43,138 square feet at the building, joining a tenant roster that includes Deutsche Bank, Prudential Financial and Ricoh.
Newmark Executive Managing Director Jeff Schotz, senior managing directors Kevin Murphy and Sumner Putnam and Associate Peter Kasparian serve as Two Gatehall’s leasing team and represented the landlord, which is based in White Plains, New York. CBRE Vice Chairman Jeff Babikian and Vice President Conor Dolan represented the tenant, a multinational technology company.
“This newly signed tenant, as well as our existing tenants, represent the best of their industries,” Silverman Realty Group CEO Bonnie Silverman said. “They have chosen 2 Gatehall for its excellent location and exceptional amenities, including a full-service cafeteria, coffee bar, gym and yoga studio.”
The recent improvements at 2 Gatehall, which was built in 1985, have produced amenities that also include indoor and outdoor seating and an 88-person conference center. The property also has an open three-story central common area with a skylight, a fireplace and lounge and workspace areas.
Newmark is now marketing additional space at the building spanning more than 230,000 square feet, including 117,000 square feet of inline space. The site is minutes from interstates 287 and 80 and is adjacent to a Residence Inn, while it’s surrounded by a host of restaurants and retailers.
“Siemens recognized the value of the physical infrastructure, the full suite of contemporary amenities and the recently remodeled lobby and common areas that provide a Class A environment for 2022 and beyond,” Schotz said. “We are pleased that a well-known firm saw the value of this premier office building.”
