With renovations underway at the rebranded World of Blue hotel in East Rutherford, its owner has set its sights on affluent travelers bound for this summer’s FIFA Men’s World Cup.
P3 Properties, which acquired the former Sheraton and Hilton property earlier this year, said the new-look asset at 2 Meadowlands Plaza will be “purpose-built” for VIP guests and corporate hosts. That means everything from redesigned guest rooms and corridors to elevated food and beverage concepts, a luxury spa and fitness center, enhanced security infrastructure and fully modernized event spaces — all of it directly across Route 3 from MetLife Stadium.
The firm said it’s already negotiating with multiple corporations for extended-stay hospitality packages that would fill significant portions of the 425-room hotel for the duration of the tournament. The first of eight matches that MetLife Stadium will host begins in mid-June, culminating with the final on July 19.
“This is not just a hotel stay. This is a hospitality command center,” said Harvey Rosenblatt, CEO of P3 Properties. “We are building a fully reimagined VIP environment in the Meadowlands where corporations, media, sponsors and high-level guests can stay, entertain, meet and celebrate in one seamless setting.”

Specifically, P3 said it has structured the property to serve:
- Corporate groups hosting clients throughout the tournament
- Brands seeking a private headquarters for entertainment and networking
- International guests requiring elevated service and discretion
- Executives and sponsors demanding proximity, security and exclusivity
Beyond match nights, World of Blue will host what it described as curated watch experiences and private gatherings throughout the tournament, creating a dynamic atmosphere that extends far beyond the stadium. P3 also pointed to its grand ballroom, one of the largest in northern New Jersey, noting that it offers flexible configurations, advanced audiovisual capabilities and sophisticated finishes in a space that’s meant to accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
It’s now pitching the space as an ideal setting for corporate galas and sponsor activations, private client receptions, international cultural celebrations, business functions and large-scale entertainment experiences.
With World Cup looming, P3 charges ahead with $100 million update of Meadowlands hotel
