Paramount Assets has inked another lease with 7-Eleven, bringing the convenience store chain to its new mixed-use William Flats project in downtown Newark.
Representatives of both companies recently gathered at the building, located at the corner of William and Broad streets, to open the new 2,700-square-foot store. The chain is part of the 12,000-square-foot ground-floor retail space below the building’s 37 apartments.
Urszula Zoltek of Zoltek Commercial Real Estate Services represented the tenant, while Ryan Starkman of Pierson Commercial represented ownership.
Located between Teachers Village and the Prudential Center, within the city’s historic Four Corners neighborhood, William Flats resulted from an adaptive reuse of the former United Women’s Garment Workers’ Union headquarters. Paramount has also secured commitments for the commercial space from Santander Bank and Go! Go! Curry, a fast-casual franchise concept specializing in authentic Japanese comfort food.
The new 7-Eleven store is one of three locations within Paramount’s New Jersey portfolio.
