A developer is bringing more than 130,000 square feet of new industrial space to a growing corridor along Route 33 in Monmouth County, according to the project’s contractor.
Peak Construction Corp. announced Tuesday that it will work on behalf of Scannell Properties to build what’s known as the Riverside Distribution Center. Located in Millstone Township, the speculative development calls for a 132,930-square-foot property with 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 29 dock doors, two drive-in doors, trailer storage and 135 car stalls.
Completion is slated for late summer 2022. Peak, which is based in Des Plaines, Illinois, will work alongside architect Norr and civil engineer Colliers Engineering.
In announcing the assignment, the general contractor noted that Scannell Properties is a privately held developer and investment firm that focuses on build-to-suit and speculative projects in the industrial, office and multifamily sectors throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
