Playa Bowls has continued its growth in the state with a franchisee’s new location in the Whitehouse Station section of Readington, according to Kraft Development II LLC.
The operator, Robert Howell, recently opened the store at 531 Route 22, joining daughter and company team leader Olivia Howell for the debut, broker David Hellman said. The space at Whitehouse Mall is the franchisee’s fourth store with the fruit bowl and smoothie chain, following locations in Holmdel, Florham Park and Morristown.
Hellman, broker of record with Kraft Development II, represented Howell at Whitehouse Station and in the operator’s other New Jersey locations. Mark DeMattheis, managing principal of Whitehouse Mall, represented ownership.
The new Playa Bowls has opened in Hunterdon County alongside co-tenants such as Rite Aid Pharmacy, Kings Supermarkets, Starbucks, Bensi, UPS Store and Subway.
“The Whitehouse Playa Bowls opening was phenomenal, as they usually are known to generate much buzz whenever there is a new Playa opening,” Hellman said.
