A developer has launched preleasing at a new boutique apartment building in Jersey City, adding to the growing stock of luxury rentals in the historic Bergen-Lafayette section.
Known as The Bedford, the 38-unit property at 374 Communipaw Ave. will welcome its first residents as soon as mid-summer. Its owner is working alongside The Marketing Directors to lease the collection of one- and two-bedroom homes, where monthly gross rents begin at $1,980, touting the upscale materials, finishes and appliances available in each unit.
“This exciting community, available for July occupancy, highlights a relaxing rooftop terrace, convenient indoor garage parking, building access through a mobile app, a secure package system, mail room and on-site bike storage,” said Jackie Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. She added that residents also have access to a fitness center and yoga room at a BELA, a two-year-old sister building at 74 Maple St.
Surrounded by historic brownstones, walkable parks, retail and restaurants, The Bedford is among Bergen-Lafayette’s newest rental properties. Developers have latched onto the neighborhood thanks to those amenities, as city officials have pushed to promote investment beyond the downtown and waterfront.
The community is accessible via the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, PATH, ferry and car.
