PREMIER Design + Build Group has announced the retirement of Karl Hoermann, its senior vice president and director of construction for the Northeast division.
Hoermann, a key member of the Woodbridge-based regional team, leaves his post with more than 40 years of construction industry experience. PREMIER noted that, during his nearly decade-long tenure with the firm, he made significant contributions to the division by establishing strong client and community relationships and expanding its footprint in the Northeast.
“His leadership style — marked by integrity, extensive knowledge and a commitment to excellence — has left an indelible mark on PREMIER,” the firm wrote in its announcement. “Karl’s mentorship has inspired a generation of team members, who have benefited from his guidance and unwavering dedication to doing things right.”
Hoermann began in New York as a site superintendent, where he quickly established himself as a trusted leader, managing intricate commercial and residential projects across the tristate area, according to a news release. He transitioned to office building construction, leading to high-level leadership roles.
PREMIER, which counts several of New Jersey’s top warehouse developers as its clients, announced in 2020 that it had promoted Hoermann to senior vice president and director of construction. He had joined the firm five years earlier, previously serving as an executive vice president at a major New Jersey-based general contractor, where he oversaw everything from small fit-outs to $100 million projects.
“PREMIER invites everyone to join in celebrating Karl Hoermann’s outstanding career and contributions,” the company wrote. “His departure is met with a profound sense of appreciation and respect, as well as warm wishes for the next chapter of his journey. PREMIER thanks Karl for his contributions and celebrates his outstanding career.”
