Prism Capital Partners has opened a new amenity-filled clubhouse at its planned 252-unit luxury apartment development in the Middlesex County borough of Dunellen.
Located at 100 South Washington Ave., adjacent to the downtown and directly across from NJ Transit commuter rail service, the complex has been opening in phases in recent months and has already welcomed dozens of residents since the launch of leasing in December. Renters now have access to the property’s high-end fitness center, yoga room, lounge, community kitchen and meeting rooms inside the clubhouse, along with outdoor spaces such as a pool, a landscaped courtyard and entertainment area, private grills, a firepit and an outdoor bar with televisions and lounge seating that will open this spring.
It’s the latest step in Prism’s transformation of the former Art Color industrial facility in the borough.
“The clubhouse is just beautiful — inside and out,” said Robert Fourniadis, the firm’s senior vice presidential for residential. “Residents are already taking advantage of the indoor live/play environment of the clubhouse, and it’s easy to envision the outdoor spaces contributing to The Nell’s vibrant community feel when the warm weather arrives.”
Residents at the site have the benefit of upscale living spaces with on-site garage parking, smart lock entry, in-home washer and dryer, a secured package room and indoor bike storage. Net monthly rents at the complex start from $2,080 for one-bedroom and $2,525 for two-bedroom layouts.
The Nell will ultimately include six buildings, along with retail space with in-place leases for Blue Foundry Bank and Kessler Rehabilitation Center, while additional plans call for 130 for-sale townhouses developed by K. Hovnanian Homes.
“Dunellen is a vibrant community with a small-town feeling, where people get to know their neighbors,” Fourniadis said. “The Nell is in the heart of downtown, near shops and dining. It has a private gated entrance to the adjacent Columbia Park, is less than a half mile from Washington Park and sits just one block from the Dunellen Public Library. All three venues host borough-sponsored events — from a seasonal open-air market, to movies, concerts, holiday parades, cultural celebrations and more.”
