Family Dollar is taking nearly 12,000 square feet at a Bergen County shopping center, where it will take over a space currently occupied by a sister chain.
R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC, which brokered the deal, said the retailer has agreed to lease 11,878 square feet at Hawthorne Center at Thomas and Wagaraw roads in Hawthorne. The brokerage noted that Dollar Tree currently occupies the endcap space but is relocating to a 12,394-square-foot unit on the opposite end of the center, paving the way for Family Dollar.
The new Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores are slated to open at the 107,700-square-foot property in the second and third quarters, respectively. R.J. Brunelli President and Principal Danielle Brunelli represented Family Dollar on the transaction.
