KRE Group and the Kushner family are mourning the loss of Justin Gingeleskie, its longtime director of leasing and a highly respected member of the state’s commercial real estate industry.
Gingeleskie, a Summit resident and father of three, died late last month at age 50, according to his obituary. KRE announced his passing on Thursday, noting that he spent more than 20 years with the commercial real estate firm and forged professional and personal relationships throughout the region.
“Known to all in the industry as ‘JJG’ or ‘Gingles,’ Justin will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of working with him, and learning from him, both in business and on a personal level,” KRE wrote. “Justin was a kind person and a true gentleman. We mourn this tremendous loss and extend our sincerest condolences to his wife Cathy and his three beautiful children, Joey, Rory, and Coby.
“The New Jersey real estate community will remember Justin fondly, not just for his accomplishments, but for his unwavering character and integrity.”
The obituary noted that, “after countless evenings at night school at New York University,” Gingeleskie earned his master’s in real estate finance and worked as a broker before joining KRE Group. That translated to a life that “was marked by a deep passion for his work, but his true pride was always his family.”
“Justin’s life was defined by his unwavering devotion to his children,” his family wrote in the obituary. “His love for them was the compass that guided him, and his world revolved around their well-being and happiness. He could be seen walking his kids to school, coaching youth sports and supporting them in everything they did. His family was his entire world, and he leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and devotion.”
