Boot Barn is ramping up its expansion in New Jersey, announcing new store openings in Bridgewater, Totowa and Jersey City and a new lease signing for a future site in Edison.
According to RIPCO Real Estate, the clothing chain’s exclusive broker in the region, the Bridgewater location is now up and running inside a 14,175-square-foot space at 353 Route 202/206. Soon to follow are the 18,221-square-foot store at 545 Route 46 in Totowa and the 12,000-square-foot site at 733 Route 440 in Jersey City, with both slated to open by year-end under leases with Urban Edge Properties.
RIPCO executive vice presidents Mike Horne and Steven Winters represented Boot Barn, which specializes in Western and work-related apparel, footwear and accessories, working alongside the chain’s master broker team with CBRE. They also represented the retailer in securing the new Edison location, where it will lease 15,000 square feet.
“Boot Barn’s latest commitments in Totowa, Bridgewater and Jersey City, along with the newly signed lease in Edison, are a clear sign of the brand’s strong momentum in New Jersey,” Horne said. “Their expansion is driven by a growing demand for quality Western and workwear across both suburban and urban markets. We’re excited to continue supporting their growth strategy and bringing the Boot Barn experience to more communities throughout the state.”
The newest locations follow the chain’s debut early this year of a 20,000-square-foot store at 450 Route 17 North in Paramus. RIPCO’s other recent deals for Boot Barn include a 13,800-square-foot space in Mount Olive, which opened in November 2023, and a 10,800-square-foot location along Route 36 in West Long Branch that debuted in September 2024.
The firm serves as the exclusive broker in northern and central New Jersey for the retailer, which launched in 1978 and now operates more than 460 stores nationwide, selling everything from cowboy boots to flame-resistant workwear. R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC, Welco Realty and Levin Management Corp. represented the landlords in Mount Olive, Paramus and Bridgewater, respectively.
RIPCO added that it was actively seeking additional sites to continue growing the brand’s footprint across the Garden State, targeting spaces ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 square feet.
