Ripco Real Estate has hired a new broker in its New Jersey office, whose initial assignments include overseeing agency retail leasing for at least two property owners.
The firm said Wednesday that Mona Holzberg joins its Lyndhurst-based office after more than six years at Fidelity Land. In her previous role, she was responsible for leasing the firm’s retail portfolio, which included several supermarket-anchored shopping centers and an 840,000-square-foot regional power center in Watchung.
At Ripco, Holzberg will begin by overseeing agency retail leasing on behalf of Onyx Equities and Oster Properties.
“I am thrilled to join Ripco’s strong New Jersey team,” Holzberg said. “The firm’s collaborative culture, local market expertise and longstanding relationships with top landlords and retailers is second to none.
“I am very much looking forward to utilizing Ripco’s marketing resources and leveraging my existing industry relationships and knowledge to execute high-quality transactions on behalf of the firm.”
Prior to joining Fidelity, Holzberg was with Grubb & Ellis and Lerman Sanders, where she worked in the office and industrial leasing sectors, according to a news release. The Montville resident is a graduate of the City University of New York, Brooklyn College.
“Ripco is committed to recruiting talented professionals who have successful track records in the industry, but also fit our culture — Mona checks all the boxes,” said Curtis Nassau, managing partner at Ripco. “As we expand our New Jersey operations via new and exciting assignments, Mona’s deep understanding and appreciation for the agency side of the business, along with years of experience executing major transactions, will be extremely valuable to our team.”
