Consulting and engineering firm Rock Brook has a new president after promoting Michael J. Wachter, a longtime leader on its Monroe-based team.

According to the practice, Wachter will succeed founder Gregory J. DeMarco, who will become CEO. Wachter has been with the firm since its launch in 2004 and successfully leads a team of more than 60 employees across offices in Monroe, New York and Philadelphia, having received project awards in new market locations including Texas, Connecticut, Florida and Chicago.

Rock Brook also cited Wachter’s honesty, integrity and professionalism, which have helped him earn prestigious project assignments in varying business sectors. His client base includes architects, developers, commercial real estate brokers and others.

“I’ve had the pleasure of being a mentor to Mike and watching him grow for over 20 years,” DeMarco said. “His character and work ethic are unmatched. He embodies a true leader who genuinely cares about his clients and employees and always puts them first.

“Driven to learn more about every facet of the company and industry, he welcomes opportunity and change to propel the company forward. He is well positioned to lead Rock Brook and its next generation successfully into the future.”
