A salt therapy provider has retained CBRE as its agent to help it expand to up to 1,000 franchise locations around the country, the real estate services firm announced Wednesday.
Joe AmecAngelo, an East Brunswick-based retail specialist with CBRE, will oversee the targeted leasing campaign on behalf of The Salt Suite. He will work with company executives to find locations for new and existing franchisees across the country, with an initial focus on the East Coast and other markets to grow the company’s brand.
“As Americans continue to seek natural cost-effective self-care solutions, many have cited salt therapy as one of the fastest-growing segments in the health and wellness market, and this expansion is a bright spot in the current retail landscape,” AmecAngelo said. “The Salt Suite also has a track record as a corporate good neighbor, actively participating in various charities committed to enhancing and strengthening local communities.”
AmecAngelo described The Salt Suite as an early entrant to the salt therapy movement, providing all-natural relief from asthma, allergies, eczema, psoriasis, sinusitis and other respiratory conditions. Founded in 2010, the operator currently has seven locations in Florida and New Jersey, with several more in construction or development.
CBRE said the company is currently targeting high-profile locations of about 2,000 square feet adjacent to existing high-end fitness and health care retailers, according to a news release. Optimal sites include shopping malls and strip centers with high traffic and visibility and easy access to major roadways.
“On behalf of The Salt Suite, we are very excited to partner with CBRE in our expansion plans,” said Ryan Dodson, CEO of Salt Suite Franchising LLC. “We are confident that their expertise will fuel our growth as we change lives one breath at a time.”
Current New Jersey locations include 320 Young Ave. in Moorestown, 910 Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Voorhees Township and 1800 Route 35 in Ocean Township, which is under construction.
