Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has added to its portfolio with the acquisition of a fully leased, 78,650-square-foot industrial building in northern Bergen County.
The property, 1 Pond Road in Rockleigh, is less than a mile from the New York State border and serves as the headquarters for NVC Logistics Group. Sanzari paid an undisclosed price for the asset, in a transaction that brings its industrial portfolio to nearly two dozen buildings.
Don Eisen and Andrew Schwartz of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Jewish Home Foundation, while NAI James E. Hanson’s Andrew Somple represented the Hackensack-based buyer.
“Our portfolio of high-performing, stable industrial assets has been a key component for much of our success over the past 75 years,” said Stephen Jennings, vice president of leasing and marketing at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “The acquisition of 1 Pond Road only enhances our robust property offerings and provides our firm with a strategically located, stabilized industrial property in the heart of one of the region’s most in-demand industrial markets.
“We look forward to building a lasting relationship with NVC Logistics Group and continuing to ensure this remains one of the market’s premier industrial properties for years to come.”
With 63,500 square feet of dedicated warehouse space, 1 Pond Road also serves as a New York City regional warehouse for the national logistics firm. Sanzari noted that the building features 15,150 square feet of office space, nine loading docks and 19-foot clear ceiling heights.
The firm also touted its location less than five miles from the Palisades Interstate Parkway and less than 15 miles from both the George Washington Bridge and Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. Additionally, it provides easy access to regional highways such as Route 9W and interstates 87 and 287, as well as the region’s air and seaports.
NVC Logistics Group, which dates back more than 40 years, handles home and business transactions for distributors, retailers and e-commerce companies, according to a news release. The company uses a national network of more than 200 facilities to provide logistics and supply chain services in any ZIP code throughout the U.S. with service to both Canada and Puerto Rico.
