A maker of trimmings for garments and other products has leased more than 21,000 square feet at a South Hackensack industrial building, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises said Wednesday.
Sanzari, the landlord at 10-12 Horizon Blvd., announced that it completed the 21,156-square-foot lease with Samuel & Sons Passementerie. The transaction will provide the 75-year-old, family-owned designer and manufacturer, with a warehouse and distribution center to support its showrooms and manage shipments to customers around the world.
Andrew Stypa of Cushman & Wakefield represented Samuel & Sons, while Andrew Somple of NAI James E. Hanson represented ownership at the 57,225-square-foot, single-story building.
“Most tenants we work with place adaptability, accessibility and affordability high on their list of priorities as they search for industrial space in the New York City area,” said Stephen Jennings, Sanzari’s vice president of leasing and marketing. “Our substantial portfolio in South Hackensack and Bergen County allows us to meet all of these needs while capitalizing on record-high demand to attract premier industrial users and ensure high tenant retention at each of our buildings.”
In a news release, Sanzari noted that Samuel & Sons specializes in quality trimmings such as tassels, borders, braids, gimp and fringes. The company has showrooms in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and London, serving interior designers and architects around the world with a selection of more than 15,000 trims.
Its newest space at 10-12 Horizon Blvd. features eight loading docks and is less than a mile from Teterboro Airport and just over 15 miles from Port Newark, Sanzari said. The site offers easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike, routes 3 and 46 and Interstate 80.
