Schenck, Price, Smith and King LLP has bolstered its team of land use and commercial real estate attorneys with one of its newest hires in New Jersey.
The firm, which is based in Florham Park, announced that James Polles has joined its ranks as counsel. His focus includes real estate development, redevelopment and land use matters in the industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors, as he advises clients on the planning elements of development and the redevelopment process.
He is a member of the firm’s land use and redevelopment and commercial real estate practice groups in Florham Park.
“We are excited to welcome James and his land use and related transactional experience to our burgeoning land use, redevelopment and transactions practice, as well as providing counsel to the firm’s institutional clients,” said Gary F. Werner, managing partner. “Schenck Price prides itself on being at the forefront of providing unmatched service to our clients, and that includes recruiting talented attorneys to assist them in an ever-changing world, to ensure their long-term success.”
In a news release, Schenck Price touted Polles’ knowledge of local government operation, which provides him with insight into the decision-making process of elected officials and key governmental employees. The firm noted that he has previous experience providing general and special counsel services for several municipalities and planning boards.
“I look forward to joining a team at Schenck Price with a vision and a culture that encourages offering clients dynamic solutions to hurdles thought insurmountable amidst a global pandemic, with an eye towards positioning clients for sustained success and growth into the future, just as the firm has done since its inception,” Polles said.
Polles earned his law degree in 2011 from Ohio Northern University and his bachelor’s in 2006 from the University of Scranton.
