Seagis Property Group has secured a lease renewal and two new tenant commitments at a Carteret industrial building, in a set of deals arranged by Bussel Realty Corp.
The existing tenant, Nirwana Foods LLC, occupies 16,209 square feet at 1001 Roosevelt Ave. and accounted for nearly half of the recent activity at the property, according to a news release. The renewal came alongside new leases by American Exchange Apparel and South Valley Trading Co., which took 11,845 and 5,310 square feet, respectively.
BRC Senior Vice President Jordan Metz, Senior Associate Ben Abbate and Sales Associate James Friel represented the landlord at the 93,286-square-foot industrial property near the New Jersey Turnpike. The team also represented the tenants in the deals with Nirwana Foods and South Valley Trading, while Glazerman Realty represented American Exchange Apparel.
“It was a pleasure to work with our longtime client, Seagis Property Group, in closing these transactions as we continue to see strong demand for small bay industrial space,” Metz said. “With its ease of access to major roadways, the ports and New York City markets, 1001 Roosevelt Avenue attract users who need to service their clients in the New York metro area. Currently, we are marketing one remaining available unit totaling 17,203 square feet at the property.”
