A developer is planning more than 100,000 square feet of new office space in downtown Morristown, seeking to use the air rights above a set of existing retail properties.
The firm, The Silverman Group, has unveiled plans for what it has dubbed S on South at Morristown. It has submitted plans for 111,022 square feet of office space above retail storefronts at 54-80 South St. and 10 Pine St., which are just southeast of the Morristown Green.
Silverman also plans to incorporate a private automated parking garage at the site that will contain 290 spaces, the developer said. The overall project will occupy roughly 1.6 acres and will account for what the firm says is the first air rights development in Morristown.
The project timeline was not immediately available.
The Silverman team includes President Blake Silverman, Vice President of Development and Construction Dan Lacz, Vice President of Leasing Toby Nelson and Dean Marchetto, the architect for the project and founding principal of Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects.
