SJP Properties has named a new senior vice president to help grow the firm’s office portfolio, tenant roster and third-party construction and project management business in the region.
The new hire, Alexander Erdos, joins the company as senior vice president for leasing and marketing. His role will include working directly with SJP Properties Founder and CEO Steve Pozycki to oversee business development, leasing and marketing, spearheading progress on projects such as M Station at Morristown, 200 Wood Ave. in Metropark, Waterfront Corporate Center in Hoboken and Somerset Corporate Center in Bridgewater.
Erdos will also contribute to the strategic growth of SJP Project Solutions, which provides development, construction and project management services for outside clients.
“As commercial tenants seek out increasingly diverse real estate solutions, Alex’s experience working with a wide variety of occupiers and owners, particularly in the New York Metropolitan Area, will be crucial in managing and growing our pipeline,” Pozycki said. “His intricate knowledge of the office and life science sectors will catalyze our continued effort to grow these markets in New Jersey. We look forward to applying Alex’s expertise to our strategy as we continue to add more world-class companies to our roster of tenants.”
Erdos most recently was a vice president at CBRE in Midtown Manhattan, where he was an integral part of the Northeast consulting team that advised and represented a broad range of owners and occupiers in the office and life science sectors, according to a news release. The firm said his decade of experience in commercial real estate, combined with his legal background, has enabled him to successfully navigate complex transactions for his clients.
SJP also touted Erdos’ ability to guide owners in repositioning assets to maximize value, noting that he has represented several venture-backed occupiers and publicly traded companies, including Sony, Pfizer Inc. and Nestlé.
“SJP Properties is an industry leader — consistently accelerating growth, while remaining nimble enough to partner with tenants whose needs are constantly evolving,” Erdos said. “Advising on both the landlord and tenant side, as well as within the capital markets and lending spheres, has given me a holistic view of the forces at work in today’s market. I’m eager to bring my hybrid skillset and understanding of nontraditional tenants to the SJP team.”
Erdos has received several accolades, including placement on Commercial Observer’s “30 Under 30” list while working for Eastern Consolidated, where he built foundational experience in capital markets and investments sales, the news release said. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
SJP added that Erdos sits on the Secondary School Committee of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Association and is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
The firm’s announcement follows the recent departure of Peter Bronsnick, its former president for the New Jersey region, who spearheaded development and leasing for its office portfolio in the region. He stepped down earlier this month after nearly a decade with the company.
