A picture frame manufacturer has acquired a roughly 45,000-square-foot industrial building in the Somerset section of Franklin, in a newly announced transaction by CBRE.
According to the brokerage team, CustomPictureFrames.com is expanding and relocating in conjunction with its purchase of 6 Shirley Ave. The company, currently based in South River, paid an undisclosed sum for the 45,300-square-foot property.
“Our client was attracted to the facility due to its excellent location as well as the ability to potentially add a retail component,” CBRE’s Christopher Griffith said. “The company is making a major commitment to the New Jersey market and will be able to take advantage of Somerset’s positive business climate and the ability to attract more employees as it grows its operations.”
Griffith represented the buyer alongside Bill Waxman. Bussel Realty Corp. represented Emby Hosiery Corp., the seller of the roughly two-acre property.
“CustomPictureFrames.com’s investment speaks to the strength of New Jersey’s industrial sales and leasing markets, especially for manufacturing and assembly facilities,” added Waxman.
