A bread manufacturer is relocating its New Jersey operations after signing a new 23,500-square-foot industrial lease in Hackensack.
The Stro Cos. announced Thursday that it has completed the lease with Gold Medal Bakery, a fourth-generation, family-owned and -operated company based in Fall River, Massachusetts. The business will use 215 South Newman St. as the new home of its New Jersey warehousing and distribution operations.
Drew Maffey and Rick Marchisio of Lee & Associates New Jersey represented Gold Medal Bakery, which transports its products from northern Maine to southern New Jersey using a modern fleet of transport tractors and trailers.
“215 S. Newman is well-situated near I-80, the NJ Turnpike, routes 17, 46 and 4, and the Garden State Parkway, making this an ideal location for Gold Medal’s distribution hub,” said Zach La Motta, Stro’s director of leasing.
In a news release, Stro noted that 215 South Newman totals roughly 65,700 square feet with eight tailgates, two drive-in loading docks and 16-foot clear ceiling heights.
“We are pleased to have Gold Medal Bakery as our newest tenant,” said Mitchel Kay, the firm’s chief operating officer and general counsel. “Their stellar reputation and professionalism made this process easy and seamless in otherwise challenging times. Despite the COVID-19 environment, the demand for industrial space in the Northern New Jersey area remains strong.”
