Two restaurants have opened new locations in downtown Morristown, operating with a shared kitchen as part of a project completed by Stone Creek Construction Group.
Located at 9 Speedwell Ave., the 6,500-square-foot space comprises Parkside Tavern and Sushi Lounge. They occupy a former office space within the iconic Headquarters Plaza complex that Stone Creek demolished to the shell before completing significant mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to convert it to restaurants with a full kitchen.
Both also have interior work with high-end millwork details, Stone Creek said. The Matawan-based firm added that the eateries mark the second and third dining destinations that its team has built in Morristown, following 1776 by David Burke and the adjoining Topgolf Swing Suites on the Morristown Green.
“The Morristown dining scene is dynamic and evolving,” said Shelby Gasek, vice president and partner at Stone Creek. “It has been a great opportunity to deliver three concepts, and we are excited to contribute to the growth of the town.”
In a news release, the firm noted that Parkside Tavern is inspired by European, neighborhood pubs and offers a menu of classic comfort foods and a variety of beverages. Sushi Lounge, which relocated from another space in the town, boasts a sleek, modern restaurant and lounge area serving Japanese fusion dishes and freshly prepared sushi.
“We are proud to have been a part of bringing these two distinct dining experiences to the greater Morristown community,” said Michael Bruno, Stone Creek’s president. “Our team worked diligently to ensure both restaurants were built to the highest standards, providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for future patrons.”
