T&M Associates, the Middletown-based professional services firm, has welcomed Clyde Higgs of Atlanta Beltline Inc. to its board of directors.
Higgs, CEO and president of one of the country’s largest, most comprehensive urban redevelopment programs, comes to T&M with a focus on providing advice and oversight in strategic planning, client relations, governance and technology-focused solutions, according to a news release. The national consulting, engineering, environmental and technical services firm announced the move on Tuesday, touting its new board member’s focus on collaboration and extensive experience leading complex infrastructure initiatives, strategic planning, technology commercialization, real estate development and government relations.
To that end, he has helped guide Beltline as it advanced strong working relationships with private and public partners across the region, state and country to provide a network of public parks, multiuse trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown Atlanta, while connecting more than 45 neighborhoods catalyzing economic growth.
“Clyde brings specialized knowledge and experience with successful stakeholder engagement on large-scale redevelopment projects,” said Gary Dahms, T&M’s CEO and president. “He provides a diverse perspective to providing equitable solutions that will support our mission of enhancing the quality of life for the communities we serve.”
Higgs holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of South Alabama and his master of public administration from East Carolina University, the news release said. In addition to his professional achievements, he has been recognized with accolades such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEO Award and being named one of Georgia Trend’s 100 Most Influential Leaders in Georgia.
He has also served on several boards, including the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, the North Carolina Community College System and International Economic Development Council.
