Transwestern is on the move in New Jersey, announcing plans to grow its footprint and shift its operations from Parsippany to Florham Park.
The real estate services firm said it will relocate its New Jersey office to 180 Park Ave. in Florham Park, where it will occupy 7,211 square feet on the property’s first floor. The move represents a roughly 1,000-square-foot expansion from its space in Parsippany, which it has occupied since 2011 when Transwestern established the office here.
The Florham Park property is part of a 370,000-square-foot, two-building office complex that is now undergoing a slew of upgrades, the firm said. Transwestern Partner and City Leader James Postell, Managing Director Matt McDonough and Vice President Dan Ligorner provide leasing services for the complex and are overseeing the redesign, which aims to stimulate collaboration and innovation through amenities geared toward employee engagement and well-being.
Transwestern also oversees the property management for the complex.
“As we continue to expand our presence in New Jersey, we saw this as the perfect time to establish long-term roots in Florham Park, which has become one of the state’s most coveted regional hubs for top-quality, amenity-rich office space,” Postell said. “We look forward to calling 180 Park Ave. home and see this as an excellent opportunity to further attract the best and brightest talent in New Jersey’s hypercompetitive commercial real estate market.”
The building is adjacent to The Green at Florham Park, a 268-acre, master-planned campus that includes the New York Jets’ headquarters, BASF’s North American headquarters, the AVE Florham Park flexible-stay residential community and Summit Medical Group’s new facility. Plans are underway at The Green for additional office space, an active-adult residential community and an ARCHER Hotel.
The new location provides Transwestern with quick access to the amenities of downtown Morristown and to major highways, including routes 24 and 10 and interstates 287, 78 and 80.
This past summer, Transwestern brokered a 35,415-square-foot lease at 180 Park Ave. on behalf of the landlord, Hudson Advisors, with USI Insurance LLC, one of the largest insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the world.
