Colliers International Group Inc. has recognized two members of its Parsippany office for ranking among the top 10 percent of its brokers nationwide, the firm said Monday.
The company, which has more than 16,000 professionals in 66 countries, announced that executive managing directors Richard J. Madison and Jacklene Chesler were among this year’s Everest Club recipients. Consideration for the award includes all Colliers professionals in brokerage, valuation and corporate solutions throughout the U.S. based on revenue production.
“Being ranked in the top 10 percent of all professionals within Colliers is an exceptional achievement,” David A. Simon, executive managing director of the New Jersey region, said in a prepared statement. “This award is a reflection on the dedication and commitment that these professionals offer their clients on a daily basis.
“They are committed to helping their clients fulfill their objectives and the result of their hard work has led to many long lasting relationships. They are market leaders, with a deep-rooted commitment to their clients and the brokerage community. We are very proud to have them on our team.”
Madison has 28 years of commercial real estate experience in national and global corporate account services, focusing on tenant representation and disposition services and court-appointed receiverships, Colliers said in a news release. He has completed more than $1.4 billion worth of transactions throughout the United States and abroad, having represented companies such as Avaya Inc., Nestle Nutrition, Barney’s, Forest Laboratories Inc. and others.
“Rich has done a phenomenal job of expanding his services outside of traditional real estate brokerage into new and emerging specialties, which includes servicing lenders in a receivership capacity and marketing bank-controlled assets,” Simon said. “He has and continues to represent some of the largest names in this arena including LNR, Torchlight, Rialto Capital and others.”
Chesler, a capital markets and investment sales expert, joined Colliers four years ago, the news release said. During 2016, her team closed nearly 2.5 million square feet in sales, including office buildings such as the 650,000-square-foot Continental Plaza in Hackensack, the 230,000-square-foot One Centennial in Piscataway and 340 Mount Kemble, a 390,000-square-foot property in Morris Township.
Her clients include many local and national owners and operators including LNR Partners, Torchlight, JEMB Realty Corp. and several private family trusts and investors.
“Jacklene’s investment sales expertise within New Jersey and the Tristate market has been sought after by institutional, private and foreign investors alike,” Simon said. “She is knowledgeable in all product types and has significant experience marketing and positioning distressed assets.”
Chesler is a graduate of the Rutgers University School of Management and the CEO Leadership program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, the news release said.
