Value Cos. Inc. has completed a major upgrade of a 158-unit apartment complex in Saddle Brook, the development and management firm said this week.
In a news release, Value highlighted a series of improvements at 140 Mayhill that it believes has brought the property in line with other modern apartment communities. Most recently, the company debuted an upgraded clubroom that was refurnished and restyled by interior design firm Lita Dirks & Co., providing a fresh look for amenities such as a catering kitchen, a shuffleboard table, a large flat-screen television and ample room for entertaining.
Value has also modernized the fitness center at 140 Mayhill to provide residents with access to Peloton bikes with on-demand cycling classes, high-end fitness machines and free weights, an elliptical machine and a mirrored stretching room.
Other features at the pet-friendly community include a 24-hour on-site maintenance service and garage parking adjacent to the building.
“We consistently examine each of our apartment properties and identify ways we can provide residents the highest standard of rental living,” said Jack Linefsky, vice president of property management for Value Cos. “140 Mayhill was originally built in 2009 as a landmark new Bergen County rental property.
“In order to maintain its status in the marketplace, we continue to make key improvements and renovations, such as the refurnished clubroom and upgraded fitness center. This has allowed us to offer a modern community that’s on par with new apartment developments at a much more competitive rental price.”
Improvements also included new LED lighting and kitchen backsplashes within the property’s one- and two-bedroom homes, the news release said. Overall, units within the 10-year-old community range from 753 to 1,300 square feet and boast high-end finishes and appliances.
Value also touted the property’s location near the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 80 and routes 46, 4 and 17.
