Woodmont Properties has achieved LEED certification at a newly renovated, 71,300-square-foot office building in West Windsor, the commercial estate firm announced Monday.
The building, 400 Alexander Park, reached the milestone on the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design scale following a series of improvements such as a new façade, a redesigned lobby and upgraded elevators and restrooms. Woodmont has also improved energy performance with modern lighting, a glass curtain wall and computer-controlled, extremely efficient heating and cooling systems.
“We’re exceptionally proud of 400 Alexander Park achieving LEED certification and further adding to its attractiveness and strong presence in the Princeton market,” said Eric Witmondt, Woodmont’s CEO. “Today, 400 Alexander Park represents a sustainable, bright, efficient and innovative property which is only further enhanced by its prime location, outdoor amenities and beautiful office park setting.”
A leasing team from JLL is now marketing the property, which is within walking distance of the Princeton Junction train station. The team includes Managing Director Thomas Romano, Senior Vice President Tim Norris and Associate TJ Romano.
“With its extraordinary transit-oriented location and its superior state-of-the-art building systems, we have been actively touring the building with forward-looking companies seeking both flexibility and convenience for their employees,” Thomas Romano said. “The natural landscape, walking trails, bike path and reflecting pool also add to the building’s outstanding appeal.”
Woodmont and JLL also touted the property’s on-site cafeteria, along with surrounding amenities including hotels, restaurants and daycare facilities. The complex is also 2.5 miles from Princeton University and a half-mile from Route 1, with proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike and other nearby highways.
“Alexander Park offers an extraordinary, accessible location in close proximity to regional and state thoroughfares,” said Lewis Zlotnick, president of Woodmont Properties. “This, coupled with the incredible enhancements make the property a prime opportunity for companies who value appearance, location and sustainability.”
