A distributor of high-end wigs and other hair pieces will relocate to the Meadowlands from South Carolina after leasing 11,300 square feet in Carlstadt, the building owner said Monday.
Key Properties LLC announced the long-term lease with Sky Trading LLC at 150 Commerce Road. According to the landlord, the tenant was in search of a location from which to grow its business in the New York metro area.
“Smaller-sized industrial space is in high demand among tenants today, making 150 Commerce Road particularly attractive to a variety of users,” said Marc Schlussel, co-managing partner of Key Properties. “Our property’s location — offering superior accessibility to New York City, major highways and public transportation — enhanced its appeal for Sky Trading.”
Troy Wisse of Lee & Associates negotiated the transaction, while Jack Zakim of Zakim & Zakim P.C. provided legal counsel for the tenant.
Located in the heart of the Meadowlands submarket, 150 Commerce Road totals 30,000 square feet and features overhead doors, tailgate loading and convenient parking, Key Properties said in a news release. The property sits less than 30 minutes from New York City and the Port of Newark and Elizabeth, while offering proximity to routes 3 and 17 and interstates 95 and I-80.
