Wiss has bolstered its accounting and advisory team with the addition of Neidich and Co., a Mountainside-based firm that serves privately owned real estate companies.
The merger, effective Jan. 1, will expand Wiss’ already strong presence among developer and property owner clients and provide it with an additional office. The firm noted that Neidich, founded in the 1950s by Sid Neidich, is led by Charles Tarlowe, who became managing partner last year after the passing of his partner, Michael Beck.
“This is a natural fit for Wiss as we’ve been working together with Neidich for over 40 years due to overlap in our client base,” the Florham Park-based firm said in its announcement. “We look forward to developing deeper relationships with Neidich’s clients while offering them expanded services that today’s real estate families need.”
In a news release, Wiss noted that family-owned firms such as Kushner Real Estate Group and Garden Homes are among Neidich’s biggest clients and have been with the firm since its earliest days.
“The Kushner family has been clients of Neidich since the 1950s when my father started business,” said Murray Kushner, founder of KRE Group. “I attribute much of our success to the sage advice and guidance of Mike and his team. Although I’m delighted that Wiss is picking up where Mike left off, I miss Mike every day.”
