A joint venture has reached full occupancy at a new luxury apartment complex in Gloucester County, marking a milestone for a long-awaited mixed-use development.
Built by Woodmont Properties and Atkins Cos., the 330-unit project sits at 257 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road in Washington Township and is a key piece of the project known as Washington Square Town Center. The developers have benefited from the ongoing demand for high-end rentals and a lack of supply in the immediate area, offering amenities and proximity to a host of employers and services.
All told, Washington Square Town Center also includes 30,000 square feet of retail and 40,000 square feet of medical office space.
“We’re thrilled at the popularity and success of Woodmont Townsquare and we are especially proud of the community that’s been created since welcoming our first residents,” said Lewis Zlotnick, president of Woodmont Properties. “We believe Woodmont Townsquare offers a unique setting for residents seeking luxury living and convenience in a prime location which offers a variety of brand-new shops, dining venues, medical facilities and other services.”
Amenities at Woodmont Townsquare include pet-friendly features, a strength and cardio center and fitness studio with virtual classes on demand. The property offers other perks such as a swimming pool, game room, theater, sprawling sundeck and grilling terrace and firepit.
Woodmont and Atkins recently welcomed several new businesses to Washington Square Town Center, bringing the retail space to 70 percent leased. Italian specialty shop Jenaro’s will occupy 4,600 square feet, while Bison Coffee Co. will occupy 1,800 square feet. Both restaurants are projected to open this spring.
Also part of the development is a new 40,000-square-foot medical office building, which serves as the flagship location for the Rothman Orthopedic Institute in South Jersey.
Woodmont Townsquare is within walking distance of Virtua Health & Wellness, Regal Cinemas and shopping on East Black Horse Pike, the developers noted. The property also provides access to Philadelphia and Atlantic City via its proximity to the Atlantic City Expressway, routes 42 and 55 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
