Woodmont Properties has announced five new hires across its multifamily development, industrial, legal and marketing teams.
The new additions to the Fairfield-based firm include Michael Palmer as vice president of development and Keith Meehan as director of industrial construction. Also joining the company are Christine Marsh as real estate paralegal, Ty’ya Givens as digital marketing and social media manager and Padraig Ryan as marketing specialist.
“We’re thrilled to welcome five new team members to the Woodmont family,” Woodmont Properties CEO Eric Witmondt said. “We’ve seen firsthand how attracting and retaining top-tier people contributes to our growth strategy, and we have no doubt that the unique skills of Michael, Keith, Christine, Ty’ya, and Padraig will further contribute to this positive trajectory.”
Palmer joins the firm with broad expertise in land acquisition and development, from initial sourcing and contract negotiations to site development and operations management, according to a news release. His past work in the residential sector has included urban and suburban multifamily, single-family and townhome projects.
Prior to joining Woodmont, Palmer was an executive with developers throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, including Toll Brothers and Orleans Home Builders, the news release said. He holds an MBA in international business from Saint Joseph’s University and a bachelor’s in business administration and management from Towson University.
Meehan, for his part, steps into the director of industrial construction role with project management and development experience in both the commercial and residential sectors. His past positions include senior project manager at Duke Realty Corp., vice president and Northeast market lead at PREMIER Design + Build Group and project manager at REDCOM Design & Construction.
In his new role at Woodmont, he oversees a pipeline of some 5 million square feet of industrial projects slated to begin over the next 24 months in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida.
As a real estate paralegal, Marsh assists with legalities and regulatory compliance at all stages of the real estate ownership and development process, the news release said. She brings a diverse background, previously working for firms specializing in health law and civil rights violations, while holding bachelor’s degrees in philosophy, German studies and environmental studies from the University of Richmond.
Givens, meantime, has spent more than a decade in the real estate industry and will look to strengthen Woodmont’s presence within the digital space, the firm said, citing her background in data analysis and knowledge in marketing and brand strategy. She holds a master’s in real estate development from New York University and a bachelor’s in interior design from Kean University, while she is currently pursuing an MBA in digital marketing from Montclair State University.
Ryan joins Woodmont after positions with the New Jersey Builders Association and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. As a marketing specialist, he will leverage his seven-plus years of experience to develop and communicate the firm’s strategy and multifamily offerings on a broad scale, tapping a skillset that includes digital and print content development, online content creation, website development, project management, design, photography, videography and branding.
“Bringing on new team members allows Woodmont to sustain its momentum, and further support the robust pipeline of projects we have ahead of us,” said Lewis Zlotnick, Woodmont’s president. “We’re so pleased to have these talented individuals join the team and look forward to their valued contributions in multiple segments of our business.”
