An engineering firm is expanding into New Jersey with a newly announced, 57,000-square-foot lease at a Woodcliff Lake office building.
The West Nyack, New York-based practice, McLaren Engineering Group, said Tuesday that it has inked the 12-year lease at 530 Chestnut Ridge Road, which has the capacity for more than 250 employees. Keystone Property Group owns the building, which sits just off Garden State Parkway Exit 171.
“This new modern facility in New Jersey will accommodate our firm’s growth, help us attract and retain talent and position us for future success,” said Malcolm G. McLaren, CEO and president of McLaren Engineering. “We are excited about the growth opportunities in (New Jersey) and the expansion of our regional footprint.”
The firm, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, touted its recent growth through its New York City and Albany offices, along with its marine services operations in Rockland County, New York, and Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey. Its most recent Garden State projects include the Caven Point Marine Terminal and the mixed-used developments at 197 and 207 Van Vorst in Jersey City, along with the Pulaski Skyway in Kearny.
McLaren also pointed to the design of a recreational pier in Weehawken, automated signage at Newark Liberty International Airport and wharf reconstruction at Port Newark. It has more than 200 employees in 11 offices and is licensed in 49 states.
“It is wonderful to have a leading engineering firm like McLaren choose Woodcliff Lake for its expanding team,” Woodcliff Lake Mayor Carlos Rendo said. “We are excited to have the firm join our community which is also home to the North American headquarters for BMW and Perillo Tours.”
