A private investor has acquired a fully leased, 256,000-square-foot retail power center along Route 9 in Ocean County, brokers with HFF announced Monday.
The capital markets firm said it represented the seller of the Forked River property, Sunrise Plaza, which is located on the highway’s southbound side near Park Place Drive. Completed in 2007, the property sits on 27.9 acres and is anchored by Aldi, Kohl’s and The Home Depot.
The HFF team included Jose Cruz, Stephen Simonelli, Kevin O’Hearn and Michael Oliver. Terms were not disclosed.
“The current tenant lineup combined with the upside at the center had multiple investors attempting to acquire the asset,” Cruz said. “Access to Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway helped to further generate interest. This well-located retail asset was highly sought after by the investment community.”
The complex is three miles from Exit 74 of the Parkway, HFF said.
