A specialty pet shop has opened the doors to a new 2,500-square-foot store in Bridgewater, offering a selection of baked goods and other items for dogs.
Levin Management Corp., which arranged the lease at the Somerset Shopping Center, on Monday announced the debut of the new Pupcakes and Pawstries Barkery and Shoppe location. The locally owned business has relocated to the center, which sits at the junction of Route 202/206 and Route 28, after operating in Basking Ridge for the past six years.
LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty brokered the lease at the 219,000-square-foot complex. LMC also manages the property.
“‘Mom and Pop’ businesses like Pupcakes and Pawstries bring tremendous value to shopping centers and to the communities they serve,” Fernandez-Kelty said. “With its distinctive branding, quality products and personal customer service, this new tenant is a great addition to Somerset Shopping Center. We are excited to be part of the store’s continued success.”
Pupcakes and Pawstries offers a range of wholesome baked goods for dogs, made using organic and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. So-called barkery selections include custom birthday cakes, “pupcakes,” cookies, Welsh cakes and muffins and more.
The store also carries food, other treats, leashes, collars, toys and grooming supplies.
“We really have everything here a pet owner needs for life with their canine companion,” said Paul Puglisi, who owns the store with his wife, Belinda. “Our new store at Somerset Shopping Center is larger and more centrally located. It will allow us to better serve our loyal existing customers while introducing Pupcakes and Pawstries to new patrons in the Bridgewater area and beyond.”
Somerset Shopping Center is also home to tenants such as Christmas Tree Shops, Barnes & Noble, Modell’s, Gap, Eastern Mountain Sports and others.
