A trucking and logistics business is subleasing nearly 50,000 square feet at an Elizabeth industrial building, according to brokers with NAI James E. Hanson.
The real estate services firm announced Tuesday that it represented RIM Logistics Ltd., the sublandlord at 560-596 Bercik St., in the lease with Z Brothers Express Inc. The Fort Wayne-based operator is taking 49,300 square feet on a short-term basis in conjunction with a contract to provide warehousing and distribution services.
NAI Hanson’s Eric Demmers and Russell Verducci completed the assignment.
“One of the most important tools landlords can leverage in the search for quality tenants is a highly experienced brokerage team,” Verducci said. “Through our decades of expertise, we are able to effectively leverage our deep capabilities and market knowledge to secure tenants that are ideal fits for our clients’ spaces amidst even the most tumultuous market conditions and across competitive asset classes and markets.”
In a news release, NAI Hanson noted that 560-596 Bercik St. is minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Newark-Elizabeth, offering immediate access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1 and 9. The 143,756-square-foot building sits on 6.47 acres and features nine tailgates with levelers, one drive-in and 2,400 pallet positions, along with 30-foot clear ceilings.
Dallas-based Rubicon Representation served as the broker for Z Brothers, which specializes in transportation services including less-than-truckload shipping, truckload services, expedited delivery services and third-party logistics.
