The owner of a Woodbridge shopping center has added a national operator to its restaurant mix, inking a 2,500-square-foot lease with Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.
Levin Management Corp., the leasing and managing agent at St. Georges Crossing, announced Tuesday that the New Orleans-style chain will open within a newly redeveloped, freestanding former restaurant building at the property. The business will join an Xfinity Retail Store that opened last year within the building, along with other tenants such as ShopRite, P.C. Richard & Son, T.J. Maxx and West Marine.
LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad spearheaded the deal at the 343,000-square-foot center, which sits at the intersection of routes 1 & 9 and 35. Shane Wierks of Jeffery Realty represented the tenant.
“This well-established Popeyes franchisee was drawn to the local market’s proven history of successful quick-service and fast-casual restaurants,” Moawad said. “St. Georges Crossing, with its prime location, exposure and excellent demographics, is a terrific fit within this context. Popeyes’ menu has wide appeal, and we are excited to expand the property’s dining options with the addition of this nationally recognized chain.”
