A provider of shared warehouse and office space has taken nearly 165,000 square feet in Saddle Brook, marking its largest location to date in a portfolio of more than two dozen sites.
The San Francisco-based company, ReadySpaces, said it’s planning an early spring opening for the new facility at 575 North Midland Ave. The building will be its third in the region, joining locations in North Bergen and Queens, offering storage and industrial workspaces for small businesses ranging from 250 to 5,000 square feet.
“Building our footprint in the tristate area has always been important to us because of the sheer volume of business here,” said Kevin Petrovic, chief operating officer and co-founder of ReadySpaces. “Finding the right properties, that are centrally located and accessible to transportation, has been key. We are thrilled to provide local business owners with the space and amenities they need to excel in 2022.”
In Saddle Brook, ReadySpaces is backfilling a 164,500-square-foot building that was previously home to a corrugated box company. In announcing the new location, the firm said it aims to act as an incubator for small businesses by supplying storage and industrial workspaces, allowing them to scale their operations while providing collaborative workspaces and business services for like-minded entrepreneurs.
Colliers represented ReadySpaces in the deal, with Executive Vice President Mike Davis and Executive Managing Director Noah Balanoff leading the assignment.
“We are seeing continued unprecedented demand for industrial product in New Jersey,” Davis said. “We were pleased to find ReadySpaces the perfect location to expand their existing business and customer base, and to provide small businesses access to the office and warehouse space they need amid the current constrained supply available in the market.”
Colliers also represents ReadySpaces nationally.
“This new Bergen County location will complement other soon-to-be announced ReadySpaces facilities in New Jersey,” Balanoff said. “The tremendous success by ReadySpaces across its entire portfolio supports the company’s continued growth in New Jersey and beyond.”
